Quartz is one of the hardest and most abundant materials in the earth’s crust. In terms of hardness it is fourth – after diamond, sapphire and topaz – and as for abundance it is second after felspar. Samsung, of course, is well known for the quality of its products and its Radianz range of quartz worktops continues that tradition.
Samsung Quartz : Unique Manufacturing Process
Most manufacturers of quartz worktops, such as Cimstone and Compac for example, use the process pioneered by the Breton company of Italy. However, while still using the same mix of approximately 93% quartz and 7% polyester resins, Samsung has its own unique process at its factory in Korea.
There are more than twenty five colours available in the range which ensures that there will be one to match your kitchen and one of the important features is that the colour is uniform and consistent throughout the whole of the worktop whereas with materials such as granite or marble it can vary considerably.
Samsung quartz worktops are extremely hard wearing and impact resistant. Should a pot or pan slip from your hand it will simply bounce off the surface without damage, whereas other materials could well suffer a chip or fracture.
Samsung Radianz Quartz Worktops Are Non-Porous
Since they are non-porous, Samsung quartz worktops will not suffer from staining as other surfaces tend to do. Foods such as butter, oil, beetroot, and liquids like red wine and coffee will simply sit on the surface until wiped clean. Furthermore – and again due to its non-porosity – Samsung Radianz quartz worktops are completely hygienic. There is no chance that bacteria and microbes can gain a hold on the surface and multiply. A simple wipe down with a damp cloth is usually all that is needed to make the surface sparkling clean again.
One of the things that Samsung emphasise is that your worktop can have a variety of different edge treatments such as bull-nose, waterfall, ogee, stair tread and more. Thus your worktop will be different from your neighbours.
Samsung Radianz quartz worktops also need no resealing as is the case with marble and granite. Once installed your worktop will last as long as your kitchen.
